Academic direction for Undergraduate Laws is provided by a consortium of outstanding University of London Law Schools: Birkbeck, King’s College London, London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Queen Mary University of London, SOAS, and UCL.

On successful completion of your studies on the LLB (HONS) Law Degree you will receive a University of London Award. Your Diploma will state that you were registered with the University of London and that your examinations were conducted by the University of London Law Schools. 

The LLB (HONS) Degree Routes

For those studying at the undergraduate level for the first time (i.e. for those who do not have a qualification above a Level 3 qualification)  

 

Standard Entry LLB 

For those studying at the undergraduate level for the first time (i.e. for those who do not have a qualification above a Level 3 qualification): Complete 12 modules in a minimum of three years and a maximum of six. 

Graduate Entry LLB 

For those who already have an undergraduate degree or higher: Complete 9 modules in a minimum of two years and a maximum of six. 

Entrance Requirements

 

To be eligible to register for the standard entry LLB you must: 

- Be aged 17 

- Meet English language requirements 

To be eligible to register for the graduate entry LLB you must: 

- Hold an undergraduate degree from an awarding institution accepted by the University of London 

- Meet the English Language requirements. 

Registration Deadlines

The University of London academic year runs from 1st November – 31st October and there are two opportunities to apply each academic year. 

The deadlines for registration are as follows: 

To begin your studies in April 2022: 

1st April (deadline) of the relevant academic year

To begin your studies in October 2022:  

1st October (deadline) of the relevant academic year 

Examinations

 

There are two examinations opportunities each year: 

 

October (you can sit a maximum of 2 modules in this examination period )

May/June (you can sit a maximum of 4 modules in this examination period)

The opportunity to split your studies between two examination periods each academic year lends to the flexibility of the UOL degree and makes the completion of the degree more manageable, especially for students who have work commitments and or a family. 

For most modules assessments take place by a 3-hour unseen written examination. These examinations take place and are organized by the British Council in Cyprus making the degree beyond reproach as far as quality is concerned. 

 

All examination scripts are marked by the University of London approved academics.

Recognition of the degree 

University of London degrees are acknowledged worldwide for their quality and academic rigor

It is the responsibility of the student to ensure that the degree they are about to undertake is recognized by the relevant bodies they intend to become a member of after completion of the degree. The University of London does not assume any responsibility regarding the recognition of the degree in your country.  

 

Law Degree is recognized by the Cyprus Bar Association pursuant to Article 4 of the Lawyers Law Cap. 2 which details the qualifications candidates should possess in order to be accepted as a trainee lawyer by the Cyprus Bar Association. 

 

*The standard entry route of the LLB (HONS) degree has also been accredited by KYSATS in Cyprus.
